Our Contract

Initially we intended to operate a cats only facility, but soon we were inundated with calls from the owners of pampered pooches looking for a boarding alternative.  What we heard from the dog owners about their experiences with commercial boarding facilities inspired us to offer a unique and different boarding experience for small dogs too.  Intimate and exclusive, we offer the service on a limited basis only.   Your pooch will not be confined to a chain linked kennel with a cement floor!  Our doggie room is separated from the rest of our house by a double sliding glass door, giving your pooch visual access.  Following an evaluation, most dogs are able to join our own dogs in gaining free access to the rest of our home, just like part of the family.  Truly a home away from home!

Unlike most commercial boarding facilities, Shelby's Eden doesn't close at 5:00 p.m. leaving your pooch alone in the dark.  Your pooch will enjoy the same type of environment he enjoys at his own home.  The owners have both dogs and cats for your pooch to play with, but while socializing is fun and is encouraged, it is not required.  Your pooch is welcome to stay in the doggie boarding room and have yard time to himself.

There are no hidden charges in our nightly fee.  Toys, biscuits, chew bones, TV watching, and love are all included in the one low rate.  Yard time doesn't cost extra, potty breaks are frequent and dogs are always supervised when playing in the yard.  The yard is situated behind our house, is double gated, and is completely safe and private from street view.  Our front door has a double entry way so even darting dogs are thwarted.  We are completely confident that your pet will have a safe and happy stay.  Our clients have considered the experience to be a positive one for their pets, and we are happy to say that all have returned to us for their boarding needs.
